I’m considering fresh paint on a steel road bike sometime soon, I’ve used Henderson’s before and always been happy with price/outcome but wondered if there is anywhere else worth a look locally, happy with single colour but would be similarly happy to discuss a fade which I don’t think Henderson’s do.

Have you looked at the tool library? https://edinburghtoollibrary.org.uk/
Collection is usually Thurs/Fri so you might be able to find something for the weekend. And I think you can browse their stock without signing up
