  • Anyone know about Japanese language and biker culture? What's going on with this jacket? Yellow Corn is the brand name. The manufacturer says it means Dangerous Warrior http://www.yellowcorn.co.jp/company/ But how? Is it wasei-eigo? Other words on their clothes include Hamsteak and Bumfucked Hillbilly. This jacket has some corporate logos with the wrong words. Maybe it's a sort of Bosozoku thing? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C5%8Ds%C5%8Dzoku

  • It's not that deep. I was in China for work a few years ago and there seemed to be a massive trend for black clothing with non-sensical English words / phrases in large fonts. Some quite comical

I guess it's the same as the use of kanji / hanzi characters in clothing / tattoos in the west.

  • I’ve always considered the original biker Bosozuku to be a bit more serious and associated with gangs and crime. The customising style transitioned to cars, but in contrast the type of people who were doing it were doing it in a comical, ironic way just for a laugh. That jacket is something I’d associate more with Bosozuku car customising than with the bikers.
