Sadly no luck, the ratchet ring is tight and the cable looks to be installed correctly.
I've taken a video of the shit mechanism, it behaves the same with or without any tension in the cable, ie. It's not 'clicking' into big ring so to speak.

Has anyone here set up a 10s Shimano cassette with a JTek shift mate to change the cable ratio? I fancy getting some lower gears.

I'm taking it to Via Ateliar tomorrow. Condor are booked up until the new year. Will let you know how we get on...

Great, thank you. Given that the shifters are brand new, i'd be hoping for a warranty replacement from Merlin. Having said that, I have cut the hoses etc. so not sure warranty would necessarily still stand.

Wire and housing does not have anything to do with shifters not working so dont c why it would not apply if they are idd not working when looked at.

Right, bike shop have to shifting fine, but they've highlighted an issue with the RH shifter (see pics attached), apparently there's a bolt sticking out near the thumb shifter. Does anyone know if this is fixable or a warranty jobby?

That's a known issue with 12sp shifters, Merlin should replace it.

Thank you. Do you know what it is? Just trying to pad out my email to Merlin so we don't have a ton of back and forth before getting a warranty replacement

It's the return spring.
Here's a screengrab, Graeme is the senior tech at Campag service center UK.

So what was the issue with the left hand shifter then?
-
• #315
Ahh, thanks very much. I've just picked the bike up and have spoken to Merlin, who said they can send me a new lever on the same day they receive the old one. Just a faff having to take out the cabling etc.
Many thanks for the info!

So the left hand shifter has all been set up now, it seems to be working fine; if a little stiff to click through the gears. I understand this is to be expected to Campag until it beds in.
Turns out I just hadn't downshifted enough originally, in addition to the cable tension/limit screws being set incorrectly, which was leading to the issue. Odd as i'd definitely clicked down as much as possible. In addition to the other issue mentioned with the RH shifter, the cable wasn't seated correctly, and took about an hour to get sorted.

Aha okay so as i suggested then .) Well good its up and running.
Surprised to hear that campagnolo have bolts sticking out of the shifters tho, not they quality im used to. -

Ahh yeah you were right. Sorry I didn't realise at the time, I thought you were referring to the limit screws on the derailleur, I didn't know they had them in the shifter.

So I got an email from one of the big importers for Campy NA, apparently the factory that they contract out to do their alloy cranks (might just be Centaur) doesn't want to continue to make their cranks as there is not enough money in it.

I need to change the free hub body on my Shamal Mille C17 and I think this is the correct one. Assuming I’m not wrong, do I need any fancy campy tools to do the job? https://www.condorcycles.com/products/campagnolo-fh-buu015-freehub-body?accid=13209&clickref=jkp_EAIaIQobChMIusCRpor3-wIVS7TtCh2ecQpFEAQYASABEgJGQvD_BwE&cpn=18959149833&devi=t&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIusCRpor3-wIVS7TtCh2ecQpFEAQYASABEgJGQvD_BwE&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIusCRpor3-wIVS7TtCh2ecQpFEAQYASABEgJGQvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclsrc=aw.ds&locp=9045741&nw=x&ruid=676795971983082237&sadt=pla&siteid=1295665&source=webgains&url=https%3A%2F%2Fclickserve.dartsearch.net%2Flink%2Fclick%3Flid%3D58700008176446401&utm_campaign=nmpi&utm_content=generic&utm_medium=css&utm_source=bybuybye&utm_term=generic&variant=37796467703958&wgc=1295665&wgp=281345

That'll be the one, if you're running Campag of course! And no fancy Campag tools required. Just a spanner for the locknut (maybe 17mm from memory). If you need to adjust the bearings you'll need a 5mm allen key plus (from memory again) 2mm allen key for slacking off the bearing preload adjuster sleeve.

How is the black rim holding up on your mille's? I'm weighing up finding a the shamal milles or some shallow carbon wheels.
