I have the versions with fingers. They are excellent. I can imagine these are great too.

The giro merino knit gloves
Where did you get them from? Can't seem to find any retailers except bikester which I've not used before.
-
• #1055
Oh bummer, I bought them in the States but I thought Giro gear is widely available.

DeFeet’s wool gloves are excellent: https://www.condorcycles.com/products/defeet-duraglove-electronic-touch-wool-gloves?variant=41987222962326
I wear them until sub 5C. Then Sportful Goretex Infinium.

Do you get cold fingers in general? My gloves are not up to the job in current temps (about 5 degrees this morning), and like the look of those. I probably wouldn't be riding below zero.

Been 4-6 degrees here recently and I can just about commute with the Defeet gloves above. Personally any longer/faster ride though I have to switch to something warmer.
Big fan though - they're warmer than they look at first and seem to last forever, understated too so I wear off-bike most of the winter.

No, I don’t. I was a bit optimistic. I wear the Defeet wool gloves until about 7C, then the goretex Infinium.

I have had endura pro sl which were really ok for padded gloves, in the sense of not massive, a nice cut with long fingers, and not too expensive.

In terms of gloves, I swear by these, which I bought to replace another pair which I thought were fine until struggling A LOT in freezing fog conditions a couple of years ago:

You got a link or a product name? They look decent.

Ah yes, sorry. Sportful Fiandre.
Not cheap, but I promised myself I'd never be in that much cold-related discomfort again!
(I suffer from Raynaud's to a small degree)

Oof, that's a good price!

I'll message Ray Clemence.

I ordered these Infinium ones, hope they'll fit well

• #1069
Ta. Woah, they are a bit spendy.
-
• #1070
Agreed, but they let me ride in winter.

Just reading this thread makes me warm. It was -50c on my commute the other day.

That's cold, what gloves do you use?
And what bike out of interest?
Works okay with dropbars after a bit of getting used to as i remember it but i mostly if not exlusively ride flatbars in the winter when i wear these. Id say shifting is more finicky than breaking from what i remember.
And i use my phone a lot as a courier so beeing able to use my fingers without taking my gloves of and on every 60 seconds is essential and a priority.
