Probably bankrupt with current electricity prices 😅

Fittingly update. Wonky floor and walls do not help, but it's going in. It physically could not have been any wider and still have even units. The two on the left only just fit that alcove.

Helping my mother-in-law out atm.
The base of the windows and sills I suspect has started to rot through in the front bedroom due to worn / old paintwork on the exterior, the hole is from me poking around. Looking for recommendations of companies that can cut out / replace or treat the rotten wood. Can anyone recommend a company that serves North London?

Good luck with that :(
That it’s gone through to the inside points to something being quite wrong. How is the exterior?
Might be new windows time

That looks great! Do they provide the doors and hinges etc as well?
-
• #56332
Oh yes, but I'm going to paint those

A 7 out of 10. Good instructions and well thought out fixings (all depending on the design being right, but they are really helpful with that part). I had to get the neighbour round to help me lift the three big/deep units up on top as it was just too much for me to do solo.

Looking good. I'm keeping an eye on your progress seeing whether I could fit these for people and save having to do the cutting.

Thanks. Doors will likely show how out of square it is.

Fucked now. Now to work out where/how to paint 15 doors. Likely answer is, in this room. But I don't want to even start thinking about it.

Two per cupboard and 1 per top unit. 60 hinges to adjust.
I'm just going to tarp the floor and get a load of painters cones.

Will you be scribing them in?
Looking brilliant so far! Would be great to get a little summary of the experience once you're done + costing etc

if ever there was a time to ‘get a man in’* this is it.
*or a person of any sex/gender identity who is handy with a spray gun.

Tape the edges and paint the back (with a roller) primer/undercoat and 2 top coats. Then when they are fully dry tape the back at the edges and roll the front and the edges at the same time.
Try and get them up on painters trestles or anything rather than cones, it's so difficult to do the edges when they're that close to the floor. If you set up 2 trestles and a couple of pieces of 2x2 pine you will find it a lot easier to get it done.

Yes
Bet the neighbours are glad they're moving on. Some friends lived next to a grow house and it was a nightmare.
