Twitter dismissed nearly 3/4 of their 5500 contractors yesterday Content moderation and core infrastructure. Fun fun fun.

Interesting podcast by somebody who has interviewed Musk possibly more times than any other journalist and used to admire him. Tracks his descent into what he is now.

sounds like she still does admire him, lots of forgiveness because he's apparently the saviour of mankind.

She was mocking his perception of himself as such and for seeing himself and his companies as indivisible from the causes he associates them with, not agreeing with him. I'd agree she still seems dazzled by him.

What is the podcast? I don’t use Apple Podcasts app so can’t see it
Edit: used wheregoes to trace the URL. I listen to pivot (Kara swisher podcast), she is fairly negative on musk but does still credit him with a lot that I think was good luck rather than genius

It still amazes me how so many people are completely under his spell, cult like adulation on an almost religious scale, even a cursory look at the things his companies deliver compared to what he promises shows him to be nothing but a massive grifter.

I only made it about half an hour in tbh - till then it seemed pretty gushing in praise with him, and they seemed to be looking forward to the day when they will be back in favour and he'll deign to speak to her again.
All the stuff about agreeing with him about how the President is merely a small rudder of a big ship, but he (Musk) is a big rudder of a massive ship; about he's the only person with a mind expansive enough to tackle the really big problems (I don't see this except for probably in his spaceships).
Maybe the tone changed later on but all the name dropping in the middle kind of wore me down! -

Sounds like a lot of bosses. People invested some hope that he was a visionary and a 'good guy', but the reality is obviously more mundane.

Musky seemed to be banning left wing accounts while bringing back right wing account, even extremeist.

Such a relentless narcissist and compulsive liar that he even has to make shit up about that, so that the event leaves him the centre of attention.

Demanding that Apple provide an excuse for not advertising on twitter is weird. I’ve been on twitter for years and I am not sure I ever saw an Apple ad.
Twitter 2.0 would be epic!
I wonder why he is losing advertisers....
Like he has forgotten he is no longer just a user but now a representative
