?
confusing statement. You got a ps4 but can't be arsed to hook it up but you're chasing 100% completion of zero dawn but havent played forbidden West because you don't have a ps5?(just clarifying my question mark...)

One of my purchases includes GTA V, which i'm sure i can just bash through in a couple of sittings, right?
Maybe 3 if you can master Michael's yoga routine first go.

Bit late to the party but picked up Horizon Zero Dawn in the steam sale. Not outwardly my kind of game and was initially very cagey given consoley movement but persevered through the prologue/tutorial and am being amply rewarded. Looks great, really nice creature design, some good 'they do move in herds' moments, mechanics pretty decent, challenging but not unforgiving. Single thumb up.

Still haven’t used fight stick as updates for both ps4 and streetfighter have taken ages! Assumed an update or two would be needed seeing as I haven’t played a game for at least 6mths, probably more.
But wanting to play something and then being told it needs updating and it’ll take 4hrs kind of take the wind out of the gaming sails. -

Yes.
Except now I'm playing Stray. Because cats.

I'm not usually one for bothering to read stuff picked up from around the game world but Horizon really grabbed me and I liked the story line a lot.

At £18 in the steam sale (over now, sorry), Red Dead Redemption 2 was finally cheap enough to justify buying the PC version.
Didn't think all that much of it first time round on PS4, and while the same problems remain it's worth it for how wonderful the environment is. Not just in terms of graphics, but the sheer amount of stuff going on just makes wandering around more compelling than playing the actual game.

Yet another game I bought & loved on release date but still haven't finished.
Some day...
At this point, I'm obstinately holding out for a 60fps patch on Xbox.

Not tempted to try rigging some reins up to the steering wheel? That would be awesome on a full-motion platform.

Plugging away on Skyrim PS5 (4th version I've played)
Loading times are so quick, love it.
Trying desperately to not do sneaky archer

Ha. Maybe.
Full motion is an unfulfilled dream and will be for some time. The rig is directly above my daughters bedroom.

I've never actually completed TW3.
Not even the main game, or did you not complete the expansions? Either way, worth pushing on. The expansions actually do better at the storytelling (Hearts of Stone in particular), where the main game starts well but founders in the third act.
Having completed the whole lot 3 times, I'm hoping to resist being tempted back just for better graphics and a little TV-show-related content. But I hear they've fixed some of the annoyingly bugged/unfinished quests...

The main game. Woeful history of managing to complete games. I just get so few hours and prefer to do sim racing when I have the time.
-

Talking of sim racing, is there a knack to getting good with a wheel?
I have a G29 for the playsatan.
I am shockingly bad with the wheel.
Did a day playing some NASCAR games and was ok, but they are mostly ovals or short track dirt coursesGT7 plus me and wheel = pile o' shite.

More Marvel Card strategy xcom like fun^
Really enjoying Marvel Snap. Evolved into a deep strategic deck battle game with no need to pay for any of the suggested micro-transactions

Some games are designed for gamepads and something like GT7 is probably more in that zone. Also worth noting that there's a night and day difference between a direct drive wheel (££££) and something more console focussed like a G29, especially if you're using it on your lap / a table etc - you'll always struggle imo.
Having said that, there are some people who are able to put in top 100 global times with no feedback so practice (practice, practice) is also an element.

I picked up an old Driving Force Pro (the wheel that came out to pair with GT4 on the PS2), and it was actually pretty decent with GT4. Mainly use it with Assetto Corsa on PC and naturally if feels a bit better there but it wasn't significant as far as I recall.
Is there a particular issue you're having? Not getting enough feedback or it being delayed?
Was pretty damn surprised at how much fun GT4 was with the wheel considering they're almost 20 years old!

Got the fight stick up and running this afternoon. Brought a Bluetooth dongle thing so I wouldn’t have to plug my pad into it, but couldn’t figure out how it worked. So went all analogue and cabled.
Did some training, grumbled about how many locked characters there are that I’d wanted to have a go on, but now need to unlock somehow, and got on the slow road to trying to figure out how to do things without mashing all the buttons..
Fireball, dragon punch and simple combos ate first on the list. Should take me until well into the new year -

Ive not ever played X-Com but this history of the series was fantastic

Nice that Xenonauts gets a nod, often gets overshadowed by the modern X-Com games.

Marvel Snap is horrendously addictive.
No pay to win and constantly unlocking things and stuff.
Maybe it’s just me though but I’m level 25 ish and quite a long way through the Wakanda season (unpaid) and I’ve probably only lost 3 matches since downloading it.
Assume it’s mainly kids playing?

Assume it’s mainly kids playing?
Not just kids
I'm totally engrossed.
Huh - apparently never, as it's PS5 only (I do have a PS4, but can't be arsed to hook it up anywhere).
