If battery-on-dérailleur is a broadly enforceable patent, I can't see why SRAM would be interested in licensing it, or at least why anybody else would be interested in purchasing a licence at the kind of price SRAM would be asking. They are already a mass manufacturer of complete end product systems using their own IP, it's not like they're a lone inventor in a shed looking to monetise IP without having to find the capital to build a factory.
Yeah Im definitely not jumping on it, not an early adopter :) Doesnt SRAM have a patent on having the battery on the derailleur? Might have something to do with its disappearance...
