What are you looking for? Crown and anchor has pub grub and is nice enough, Exmouth Arms does good burgers.
Otherwise most of the curry places are decent and I'd choose on whether you want meat or alcohol or not.
Or if you can go a couple of minutes to the road you've got mexican at mestizo which does all sorts of dietary requirements
I guess fairly authentic Indian food, with strong veggie options (can be vegetarian or mixed)
It's been at least a decade since I last went, but my memory was of good authentic Indian food at reasonable prices.
Probably Ravi Shankar for veggie or Raavi kebab for mixed I'd say. Ambala is the better of the two sweet shops but often busy so I do go to the other one too
