Polished hands on a dark dial is always a bit risky. My FOIS does the same, it's not too bad in practice but that's why e.g. Seiko will always brush silver hands on a dark dial rather than polish them.

Pelagos and a Wales rugby jersey.
I don't own a soccerball shirt but I needed to show my allegiance in the office today.(Edit: some crazy colour game on my phone camera today)

I'd really like a pelagos FXD but I cant see them in stock anywhere, bit of forced rarity a la big brother? Quite a lot of hype but no available product.

A fellow Welshie! Given Hennessey's challenge, I think the rugby shirt is pretty apt.

I did not go to the Tudor event in the end but might have to make a trip to the AD anyway as a friend dropped this and dinged the bezel.

It’s patina. But I reckon they’d swap it out at the next service

Really liking this. Don't have a spare grand at the moment unfortunately. I can see them going full grand Seiko prices soon.
Citizen have some great watches out at the moment.

Has anyone managed to get an explorer 1 ref 124270 at retail? I think that is something to aim for, but don't want to spend that much (would be a lot of saving) and don't suspect I'll have a sniff at getting one. So many for sale +2k on chrono 24 which is shit. Then again, a clean 14010m air king is 4k.... and the explorer is much better for 1k more

Understandable that you would ask the question but if there was a source for these at retail no one would be paying +£2k in the second hand market.
15 odd years ago I decided not to buy a Daytona because they were £2k over retail. Would have been a good financial decision if I'd bought a couple.

My suspicion is that you will see that premium narrow over the next 6 months as the macro downturn bites a bit more. Alternatively you might find retail waiting lists getting shorter / less exclusive. Particularly for standard models (not trying to denigrate your choice btw).
I suppose the counterargument is that as a UK buyer you are always at risk from GBP depreciation, which might eliminate any savings. Maybe buy £2.5k of USD now (i.e. split the difference) and see what you can get in Feb/March?

A tenner to resize the bracelet?
Spend £50 in any high street retailer and they'll do it for free.

Waaaay late on this one but I really, really like that SBGX063.
Quite agree on the superior balance of the OG logo placement too.
