A witness appeal about an incident in which luckily the rider wasn't badly injured, although inevitably bruised and battered:
On November 8, a cyclist overtook a car on his commute home on Endymion Road, Haringey at roughly 6.15pm, the Met Police said.
After overtaking the car as the lights turned green and pulling to the side, the motorist began to rev his engine and beeped at the cyclist.
The driver then rammed the cyclist’s back wheel, grabbed him by the hood before dragging him down the road. The victim eventually fell off his bike but only suffered minor injuries.
The only set of traffic lights in Endymion Road is that outside the entrance to Finsbury Park (as pictured to accompany the article), so it seems to have happened there, and as it was the evening peak hour, most likely northbound in the direction of Wightman Road/Green Lanes. It doesn't sound as if it happened near the junction with Green Lanes.
Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact the police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting CAD7959/23NOV22.
Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
Hope the rider can get over the shock and the driver be found.
