I heard Meta mentioned as well.

Are they looking for content to force people onto their platforms maybe - i.e. the only news you'd get about Man U would be on through their various facebook channels?

I suspect also a seat at the table when it comes to negotiating streaming rights, broadcast deals, etc. Look how well that worked for Alan Sugar.
