Sells Roberts as a ‘project too far’ then buys a near identical frame from Dave

a near identical frame
It's not really though.
I have just started a new job that requires a fairly long commute (Greenwich to Chiswick).
Took my 'winter bike' for a service and it needs lot of work. In theory, I'm gonna strip it and sell the frame, then turn the Dave Yates into a commuter, with Guards / Racks etc.
Couldn't do that with the Roberts.

Such a nice frame...
@DaveYates: Does this protruding head tube geo make for a stiffer frame compared to a head tube that ends at the top tube but with a longer seat tube? Or is this to bring the bars up but keep the stand over height low? Thanks!

When you simply must have a slammed stem!
Didn’t pegoretti call it a ‘dropped top tube’ or some bollocks?
This is a new frame and forks, built up but never ridden. A disagreement with the customer resulted in it's return. Dimensions are 60cm to top of seat lug, 60cm top tube, 2.5cm extension on the head tube making it equivalent to a 62cm approx "normal" frame it will take 28mm tyres with mud guards on 59 drop brakes, all the usual braze ons. A cane Creek headset is fitted. This frame was invoiced at around £1300 looking for £450. Any questions, please ask
