  • Yeah, aware and attempting to fix in the next release or so. The pt goretex jacket one is concerningly breathy.

  • The brevet insulated one is like a road.cc review. Best bit is when the turbo sound kicks in half way and the presenter starts fussing with the guy’s grippers. Voiceover after the personal intro would have been less messy.

  • Ive tried to achieve this for a site but cant figure out how to. Please rapha share hax

  • Not sure how much is it in head guy's hands but hope they can get back on track with quality - as much as I love my assos bibs they're nowhere as cool looking as rapha :|

  • Not sure how much is it in head guy's hands

None. It's been the exact same factories for years

  • Interesting. The quality has been going downhill so much since the acquisition that my expectations now when purchasing something Rapha is that it's going to be poorly made rather than being decent.

  • I’ve a black hard shell for sale. Size Xl in fantastic condition. £75 posted (plus any PayPal fees if you want some additional protection).

  • The factories, materials and cost prices didn't change at all as a result of the change in ownership or indeed appointment of a new CEO
But it is interesting that people say the quality has gone down. I haven't experienced it myself. Other than zip pullers breaking on everything

  • Other than zip pullers breaking on everything

I think I broke two. No-quibbles refunds on both items and didn't have to post them back so I fixed them with the fabric zip pulls and carried on.

  • What Phil said, it might just be coincidence or perception. In fact, I think I've had fewer zip pullers break in the last few years.

  • Most of the people I spoke with experience the same problem as I have - stitching come undone in the crotch area after a couple of weeks - in some cases - after a couple of rides even.

I've had my cargo bibs fixed by a tailor but they also discoloured quite a bit so when I put my knee warmers the shorts look rather grey than black.

But my old brevet (?) shorts still are in decent condition after 5 years or so.
Same applies to some of the other older items I have - they are nice, functional bits of kit but my confidence in new items from Rapha is shaken.

And at the price tag like that the quality should be impeccable.

  • Bristol Bargains incoming

  • whats with these renders?

  • But yeh, my opinion was 'wtfplsno' but hey, here we are.

  • Looks like his companion was potato’d out….?

  • i like that

  • I’m into it. #metaesthetic

  • There was a real and significant drop in quality when production of the bib shorts [and other product] move from Italy (Nalini/MOA's factory) to the places they are made now; Portugal, Romania and Lithuania. This happened at a similar time to the Walmart bros arriving so they are routinely conflated.

  • My shorts that were shite were still made in Italy and as Lithuanian i'm slightly offended by your statement lol. As far as I know they don't make bibs here.

  • Yeah pro team aero winter windblock citation needed please

  • Unfortunately the new bibs have the rapha branded camois no longer the elastic interface

  • I had some older stuff made in Lithuania. Thought that had stopped now as well.

  • BF 25% off most stuff

  • New Cross stuff coming soon?

    I have hight hopes
