Ha! Yes the gloss black lacquer is a favourite, and having the superlight fork triangle is pushing me; I’m keen for a broMTB 20x2.35” disc tho!

Some conti tyres ordered, masses of crud picked out of the jockey wheels (who designed all those little holes to fill up with crap??) chain is now shiny but rear brake pads are pretty worn, £30 for 2?
anyone know of some reasonably priced replacements?
seems odd that the fronts are still only half worn and do most of the stopping. -

not really, if you already have some pad holders like that just buy the pads they are half the price: https://www.wiggle.co.uk/swissstop-flash-pro-bxp-alloy-rim-brake-pads

thanks all, swisstop ordered don’t think i have any holders in the spares box without cannibalism of a set of road brakes but a tenner saved.

I have holders listed on their own if you do need some new ones

These should fit the stock holders that come with Brompton calipers right?

depends on the age of the brakes, if it has fibrax it should work fine

Bike looks great, by the way - lovely looking build, was admiring it with my son!

So for my part, I'm definitely set on a P Line, now just awaiting a bit of space in the bike collection so I have permission to pull the trigger, then subject to stock levels will get one sorted ASAP. Priority is going to be to get it as light as possible, although probably not in one immediate expensive go...! So will be keeping an eye out and looking into the most significant way to shed the grams from the outset, but looking forward to it already!

Carbon wheels, Brompifcation seatpost, pedals and a lighter saddle will be the big weight savers.
The rest is marginal gains.

The JK carbon wheels on mine are actually heavier than Brompton lightweight wheels.
But they look a damn sight cooler. -

Is there a cheaper titanium seatpost alternative? Or is the Brompification worth the extra?
-

Jtek is a good post, can supply these

P line wheels are actually very light; rear is 10 grams heavier than my "lightweight" offering with minimods hub / rim and alloy nipples. front is 30 grams lighter!
pedals; bottom bracket!!, bars, bolts etc

Cheers, people - good food for thought already!
On seatposts, do the aftermarket lighter alternatives maintain the two position function like the OEM one does - that sounds quite useful I think?
Congrats!
Them frames are pretty tempting...
