Bib tights question - what's the ideal length supposed to be, should they come up above, at or below the lumpy bits of the ankle (aka malleolus)?
Long legged and trying to replace an older set of DHB that come right down over thr ankle there. Tried a set of Assos (I've been impressed with their bib shorts this summer) and they're a good bit shorter, above the ankle.
Going on photos of different brands online there are plenty of photos of this shorter cut, but equally longer ones.
2nd question, also now considering getting some tights without a pad, plenty of brands do this. Could wear the Assos shorts under / or mtb liners and mtb shorts on top. Seems like a useful combo and can then choose any brand of long tights without worrying about my bum so much.
But are there any downsides to wearing bib shorts + tights? Seems like a lot of straps for a start..
