Oof, that's got 'PM at Millennium' written all over it! Hopefully I get back in the game soon and can report on latest trends from whatever shop I land at š¤š¼

Imagine being a copy writer at Mr P and trying to figure out to make a $7250 gilet sound like a reasonable purchase - ha
-
• #4380
$7250 gilet
i mean it is reversible so kind of closer to Ā£3500 per gilet
-
• #4381
Ha!
-
• #4382
donāt they do those at Screwfix and Toolstation?
(with branding obviously) -
• #4383
I do wonder at what level of wealth that would be a not-mental purchase
My personal guess is ~Ā£3.5m liquid
-
• #4384
Do real people ever actually buy these things? Or are they just freebeed to celebs /used as product placement in videos?
-
• #4385
Do real people ever actually buy these things?
Yes. Theyāre the people who have enough wealth and income where they donāt need to look at the prices of much. And thereās enough of these people to have brands like Brunello Cucinelli thrive. Sad as it seems, this will sell. Itās not made in huge volume compared to the H&Ms.

You've got a nerve, you disgusting piece of shit.

Omg that was in GBP not $. jeeeeeeeeeez.
@Tenderloin - prob, but even then, if I had that much cash... ain't no way I'd be spending that much on a gilet. Or any item of clothing for that matter. Not even close.

LoL Greta has sand in her mimsy.

Omg that was in GBP not $. jeeeeeeeeeez.

• #4390
What emoji do you deserve for libeling me as a racist?
-
• #4391
Yeah me either and I bloody love gilets.
Think a suit would be the one exception. -
• #4392
The shop in Bicester is always rammed.
Tbf that gilet would only be Ā£1500 or so per side so actually starting to seem reasonable
-
• #4393
I was gonna say this too but didn't want to get flamed š But even then, it'd have to be a seriously, seriously special suit. Even the Tailor Caid suit of my dreams would 'only' be about 4200GBP. How does one get to 7200? Loro Piana?

What are you on about?
I think you have revealed your true colours a year ago on this thread
I like the vibe here, but I have noticed that I'm too prickly for it. I need to calm down and stop getting angry. Maybe I've spent too long on forums which have loud arseholes. Maybe I've become one myself.
I used to behave like you, seeking to take offence, playing the victim whilst being the antagonist and blaming all around me. I would also take a foolish pride winding people up and was rather toxic. Thankfully some people called me out on this and on one day I agreed I needed to make some wholesale changes. I am not perfect and still fuck up and occasionally revert to old behaviours but it did take time and effort to change and moderate my behaviour. One great piece of advice I got was āif you encounter one cunt in a day they probably are one, if you encounter two cunts in a day check yourself, if you encounter more than three cunts in a day then James you are probably the cuntā.
I recognise myself in you and have clearly responded in kind to your posting, but as a random person on the internet it comes across you are not happy, life doesnāt have to be all a fight and a struggle.

Kristina Records on Well St in Hackney has recently added a 2nd hand mens clothing section, which has some really nice stuff. Mostly workwear and streetwear brands. I bought a coat off Jason in there and he also gave me some good advice on something else I was looking for.
I've found thrifting mens clothing in charity shops pretty dismal as the selection is usually tiny.

Maybe made by LP or similar. My DB Drakes suit was Loro Piana fabric and yeah still waaaay short of that.

I saw a TikTok yesterday about a LP Vicuna coat that costs 35k lol
