Second handbag? That’s a terrible waste of resources.

Dandy rigouts for discussion of stylish PPE
But I would be reluctant to wear second hand PPE.

I get through several pairs of (plastic) safety glasses a month. On the other hand I’ve just changed my hard hat after 5 years and only because someone borrowed it and it got filled with grinding dust.

Logic fail
I think I’ll use that next time when someone took their time to write and explain the key aspect of a particular discussion.
“Sorry mate, logic fail, I’m off to buy another fake Rolex to go to the Rolex dealership with and flaunt it like a horny Ostrich”

Given how much I sweat in chainsaw PPE I’d never consider buying someone’s seconds. And I wouldn’t want anyone to endure my grubby kit either.

You could try to say half of that without being a sanctimonious cunt.

To be fair he did wander into this thread and start calling people cunts, I doubt there is any projection going on at all.
If he had asked about using old clothes without the hostility he might have found that a few of us are not averse to second hand clothes, @tenderloin frequently sells off old clobber on here etc etc.
Instead he just dug in deeper with a lack of self awareness that he is a prolific poster on the ̶m̶i̶d̶l̶i̶f̶e̶p̶e̶n̶i̶s̶c̶r̶i̶s̶i̶s̶ motorcycle thread and accusing people that buy clothes to be climate change deniers, cunts etc.

It's a shame you gone all hostile as what your saying is generally right and lots of people buy 2nd hand but also like to buy nice things. No one is perfect. I love certain military jackets and have paid daft money for a used A2 deck jacket but I also like to buy a quality item too.
I think most people are aware of the down sides of retail and stay away from fast throw away fashion and also stay away from the big major players in high end fashion.I hope you come back with some good 2nd hand bits it's always nice to see but no need to be so hostile.

I have a very short fuse these days. Sorry about that.

Understandable things are v stressful and sometimes it feels pointless. Had a bad moment a few weeks ago where the news cycle got on top of me. Honestly hope you can post up some nice 2nd hand bits.

You came on the thread and threw a grenade. You seem easily triggered, even by people who are doing nothing to deliberately antagonise you. Do you need help?
A quick glance at articles on the biggest threats to the environment does not show hipster cunts buying high quality clothes as the gravest most terrible threat.

So what is it that has so upset you that you felt you had to hurl abuse from your first post?

He did apologise 20 mins ago, perhaps it's time to take that at face value? Besides, poking rattlesnakes with sticks to achieve a reaction is rarely a good idea.

Wow, your world is small!
Much bigger stuff going on in the world than me challenging your rather odd view that clothes are the biggest threat to the world. Situation in Ukraine, world population now 8 billion, the list goes on. Perhaps you need a little perspective, and self awareness that you came onto this thread looking to upset people, and yet are the person who appears most upset.
