But I would be reluctant to wear second hand PPE.

I get through several pairs of (plastic) safety glasses a month. On the other hand I’ve just changed my hard hat after 5 years and only because someone borrowed it and it got filled with grinding dust.

Given how much I sweat in chainsaw PPE I’d never consider buying someone’s seconds. And I wouldn’t want anyone to endure my grubby kit either.
