The company has not explained how the message came to be sent out. In its correction, the company said: “We are very sorry, we will check our internal processes immediately so that this doesn’t happen again. Please excuse the error.”
That wording says bot to me, rather than blaming human error.

They say it was a bot but obviously a poorly written/configured one if so. Most countries have tragic events in their calendar that shouldn't be celebrated with a cheesy chicken.
But I wouldn't be surprised if somebody is supposed to curate the lists of things for the bot to celebrate and whoever was doing Germany just thought "Kristallnacht? That sounds fun."
