Pretty sure they bought it complete with period Dura Ace for less than that...

Yikes! One to leave on watch then, thought it seemed optimistic (being generous)

interesting forks for sale here:
Anybody recognize these? They look like the ones Thorn makes but I guess older?
-
• #66262
actually not sure if these are for 700c... he states "distance from the bottom of the top tube to where the centre of the wheel hub goes is a smidge over 14 inches."
If this is the axle-to-bottom-of-crown distance then that would be pretty tight for a 700c wheel?

they look exactly like a set that i had on a thorn raven 15 years ago

I asked him for some more measurements and they are indeed for 26"... COuld be from a raven but they have no lowrider rack mounts?

oof nice but if I were to rim brake I'd CAAD12
-
• #66271
Ooof that's super spicy! Possibly a hairs breadth too big for me thankfully but fantastic HH spec!
-
• #66272
A caad12 does its job nicely, but one has to find a way around the capricious alloy bb30 shell.

£1200 for an ally rim brake e-tap only frame with no fork? You can buy an Argon 18 nitrogen with force 1 and deep full carbon wheels for that 😉

anyone know what brand this is??

For those that think an Allez sprint
Isn't expensive enough
Ah right, thanks for that. Seems to have had track dropouts welded on too, Force was a road model after having a root around
