  • Interesting chart from the Resolution Foundation. Could go some way to explaining the UK's poor relative labour productivity

  • Remember that clip some weeks back where Truss was gushing over the industriousness of Chinese workers and slating British workers? She seemed to think that productivity was a measure how fast a single worker carried out a manual task, not how automation allows a worker to complete more, and more complex, task in the same time frame.

  • Tories of Truss' ilk are unable to imagine that business / managerial classes might bear any blame for the UK's ills. Far easier to blame workers than capital.
