Hard to recommend because they're crazy money. The edits are lovely though.

How much did it set you back?

They're over £20 direct from the distro. Juno has them listed at £28.75. Not sure why my version is black !?! It's volume 4 of the series.

I think they should have worked out a decent pressing if they're forced to charge so much for the rights. I assume that's why they're asking nearly £30.

Unless it's Smoove looking at the after market for their releases and thinking they might have a bit of that.

Either way they've fallen short on pressing quality.

Shame, it does look like a tempting purchase.

I have mixed feelings. If you go to a shop and check out the stock it might be worth it. I've had volume 3 and 4 arrive from a distributor and both have issues. Sublime content in places though, better pressings might exist.

Would love to have Royal Scam and Countdown to Ecstasy too but £600 notes is too much this side of Christmas.

Ooh. Tempted by Aja too. Often thought about how great it would be to have some LPs on weighty deep 45rpm pressings and Aja would be right up there.

I have quite a few AP pressings. Not had any UHQR so far though. I got a few early MoFI one step though. AP have been better than MoFI for pressing quality overall but bear in mind that these pressings are not immune to pressing issues so don't think £200 guarantees you flawless copy.

I did get one pressing replaced by AP but they have never answered an email from me since!

It's less of a problem if you're in the US.

They've also just announced Bob Marley - Rastaman Vibration.

Royal Scam is possibly my favourite Dan album.

It’s Aja for me but countdown to ecstasy / royal scam are a tough 2 & 3 for me.

Flew to NY for my dads 60th to see them play a special Countdown To Ecstasy show in 2016. Such an amazing show.

Caught Chick Corea at Blue Note the next night too. Incredible trip.

Did you watch the Classic albums Aja episode? I've watched it several times now and never get tired of it. 😁

The best record fair I've been to. At least pre-covid it was.

A Discogs seller has sent me the wrong record, meaning someone else has got the tune I ordered.

I can see no way to make this worth my while to sort out for a £5 record and as the guy has sold 13 records ever he's not exactly up to his eyeballs in orders so can only assume stupid which is not likely to make process fun either.

Have you contacted them? If I was the seller I think I would just send a full refund for such a trivial amount in the interest of fairness and bad feedback.

Anyone been to this fair? ‘Ardcore DJ Billy Bunter posted about it and said there’s a decent amount of dance/jungle/hardcore so am thinking of checking out the next one.

I haven't been but it's only 15 mins up the road from me and I had no idea. Will try to make the next one for sure.

I made this mistake recently and sent a record to the customer before the most recent one. Largely because of a change in the way Paypal works combined with being busy. I also sent a £100 record to Germany by mistake once. I wouldn't call it stupidity but if you've never done the job you might think it is.

In my case as the seller no one else ends up out of pocket. I did receive the records back and paid for the postage and was just happy that punters would take the time to go to the post office to help me out.

Hopefully when you contact them they will do the right thing.
