Howdy Cannondalers.. I've become the owner of a late 80s f&f, but struggling to find the serial no. It's not on the BB, or NDS chain/seat stay. Any ideas? (I'm pretty sure it's a criterium from 88/89; the dropouts have the correct stamps). ta

That's quite nice, is it DA7700 53/39 - 11/21? However, that rear brake pad is giving me stress.

DA7800, 53/39 - 11/25. It's pretty flat where I am thankfully.

Just curious but have you experienced issues with the 7800 crankset?

Ive owned 4 of them (all ridden less than 5,000km)

3 of them were cracked on the inner side of the DS arm near the axle (the one that came with the USA CAAD above, too, max ridden 100k

That sucks, no issues as of yet but I've only ridden them 500km or so since I got the groupset second hand. Will keep an eye out though.

Annoyingly I have been dealing with multiple failed Ultegra 8000 cranks at work and was hoping the older stuff was less likely to suffer with similar issues.

What seat clamp size do I need on a 2013 CAADX?

Don't have the bike with me to check and online searches have been less than helpful

it should be 27.2 seatpost with thick-ish alloy so 30.9 is my guess. happy to be corrected
