I didn't find Chorus 12 finicky to setup, and I'm not a shop mechanic. That said, it was on a traditional steel external routed frame, but you'll always have trouble internally routing mechanical cables well.

Fyi, Merlin Cycles have a good deal on at the mo where you can purchase all the Chorus groupset in parts (less brakes) for under £800

It's indeed finicky, if you compare it with others. It does work really nice once you get it good, same as ekar

Following my earlier comment, I think I'll go chorus 12 speed for my next build. I've just read that it's very finnicky to set up, especially on an internally routed frame. If this is true, does anyone have any setup tips? This will be my first internally routed frameset.
