Resigned but he's still an MP.
The argument here is that his constituents put him there and that while the government can sack him from government, they could kick him out of the party, but they can't just stop him being his constituency's MP. There may be a gap in the system and processes that lets him get away with so much, but it would definitely not be a good thing if governments had even more power over MPs..
