Top tip, thanks! Can definitely see a use for that when I've got a barrel bag up front.

Any tips for securing these Bluemels around the seatstay bridge area? The little clip thing that came with them is miles off. They're currently just attached by the stays and behind the BB area. It sort of works but getting some annoying noise!

Piece of metal with two holes, either as an extender to then mount the regular clip to or with a right angle at the end to mount to the guard (you’ll have to drill a hole)

Or?

Something like the second one is what I was thinking. It'd just be quite ugly, ha ha.

Yeah, I would drill the guard!

3M VHB at contact points would also help secure/dampen it.

Haha, I am old! 28s are Paris roubaix spec

I think it needs the bridge mount to stop it bouncing anyway

I’d be tempted to try the zip tie method that is sometimes used for front guards.
2 holes in the guard on each side of the guard, either side of the seat stay, zip tie through each pair of holes and round the seat stay. Band of helicopter tape around each stay. -

Hmm, maybe this is the easiest/least ugly option!

dear me, that is a good looking bike

Thanks, the new one is def not to my taste.

Especially as your guard is taking up the full width anyway, so won't need to be pulled width-ways much.

Thoughts on how to resolve this? Cheers

add some spacers to the bolt (between bracket and fork crown) so it clears the headset

Cut the top off the bracket.

Do I not lose an element of safety by cutting off ? I'm tempted to bend it back at 90 degrees.

Pliers and bend! Just go for it, worked well for me. Don’t forget to add some washers aswell

Bend it or cut it, as long as the nut stays tight it won’t fall off
Little tip I found useful, peel off the silver logo thing and you can slide the old rubber flap onto the front, for extra coverage!
I use it under my pizza rack to stop luggage getting spray.
Appreciate that might not be necessary on that bike!
