For sure it must feel like riding a noodle.
Had a 66cm Gazelle in 531 or 531c a few years back.
Beautiful frame but it flexed and twisted so much. -

There must be bikes with seat tubes shorter than that head tube.

This made its way home with me. All original, need some TLC. Gaspipe frame so not worth much, but thought maybe worth saving for the tall frame?
I could strip to F&F to make worth boxing and posting unless someone is Swindon-ish.

It’s for sale if someone wanted it, I liberated it from my uncle’s container of doom

A summer operation has meant I’m having to take life easier on doctors orders so I’m moving to the e-bike dark side. As a result this Team Raleigh beater is available, it doesn’t look as shiny as in the pics and has done many forum ride miles over the years, some components have also been upgraded since these pics were taken, DRC Italian rims, DT Swiss spokes, Shimano Tiara breaks. Marathon Plus tyres, it’s basically a great bike to throw around. 64cm frame, I’m 6’3 with a 36” inside leg and it fits me perfectly set up like this. £150 and you’ve got a bargain. Collection from Leyton/Stratford borders. Bikebag not included.

Does anyone on this thread ride a folding bike? Looking at a Brompton through C2W, Brompton say I will fit at 198cm but I'm wondering if there are any better options?

I'm 195cm and had a H6L with the telescopic seatpost. It did fit me fine, just looked unusual...
I sold it and wouldn't buy another in London though – impossible to lock up without theft so had to carry it everywhere which was annoying – I'd get the Decathlon £200 folder to remove the the fear.

I can't see any decathlon options that would fit me, however I don't live in London and would be using it for a fairly rural commute, in to a pretty secure workplace with no stairs.
Did you have to buy the post separately or is there some way of specifying that post on purchase?

I'm 6'4 and have a Brompton (s type!) for my commute - I wouldn't want anything else on the train tbh, as nothing else (I've seen) folds up as neatly on the luggage rack. Although if you have the telescopic post it will protrude onto the luggage shelf above, meaning you cant push all the way in (but this has never caused any real problem)
As for specifying the post on purchase, I brought mine through Condor and they let me tweak the spec for a longer post and a bigger chainring as part of the purchase (although I later realised the extended post wasn't long enough, so then brought a telescopic separately)

196cm here and have a Brompton M type with a telescopic post. Zero issues though I am considering swapping the stem to the S and the bars to wide bars rather than the Brompton M/H bars as to get a greater saddle to bar drop.
If you're in London and want to try a few - we have a bunch of demo bikes you can come and ride in Kentish Town at Lunar Cycles

Another thumbs up. I’m 2m and all leg, telescopic at full length with S bars. Love it

Looks like I'll be popping down to Halfords with my voucher then. Thanks all for the advice.

That would be perfect if I wasn't a couple of hours from London, hoping that Halfords has some in store to try as that's the only shop in which I can use the C2W voucher my employer offers.
30 for both?
