I tend to have two active pairs of running shoes at any one time.
Gel Kayano for road and some Hoka trail shoes for offroad. Given that most of my winter running is on grass/light mud around Blackheath and Greenwich Park I think my virtually uncushioned trail shoes are a bit of overkill. They're great for proper trails/mud/ice/slush etc but thats not what I tend to use them for.
Is there such a thing as a running shoe thats in between full trail and full road? I.e something that has a bit more grip but also some fairly signficant cushioning? My Kayanos are a bit slidey for days like today.
