I'm having a bit of a mare with a pair on Honjo guards which were fitted by my LBS. They're 35mm and I'm running 26mm tyres, in theory everything would be great, right? The front is (mainly) ok but the rear rattles, doesn't seem to want to stay aligned - it almost seems to twist through normal use and then we get tyre rub. Needless to say they're doing my head in, however great they look.

So, is there a solution or should I just start looking for alternatives? If the latter, what are the suggestions?

Checked the stay mounts are tight? And also where it joins frame on brake bridge and bottom of seatpost?

Alternatives, I really rate the PDW full metal fenders. They're my favs now over VO or GB etc.

Check on both counts. I also crimped the bridge down a bit tighter so eliminate rattle there as much as possible.
