It could be because it’s custom but I always understood that CR stood for Compact Road (ie sloping top tube) and the decals on those weren’t nearly as classy as on yours. I’m also not sure that the CR Works range, which was a relatively budget range from Merlin, offered a custom frame option.
Bottom line is that I think this frame is better than a CR Works!!!
