  • That sounds banging! Might give that a punt.

  • Spicy Carrot and Lentil is a favourite round here. 4 large carrots, about 140g split red lentils, two teaspoons of cumin seeds, half to one teaspoon of chilli flakes (to taste), two tablespoons olive oil, 1l vegetable stock, 120ml milk alternative (can of coconut milk is really nice but adds significant calories)

Grate the carrots, dry fry the cumin seeds and chilli flakes in a large pan until flavours. released. Add grated carrots and rinsed lentils, olive oil and stock, plus milk alternative or coconut milk. Simmer for 15 mins or until lentils are tender. Blitz until smooth. Serve with naan bread and sour cream/fat free Greek yoghurt/dairy free alternative. Banging.

  • Went to En Root yesterday near Clapham/Brixton
    Would recommend

  • I'm here now, it is not meeting the fast part of fast food it promises to be the future of. Tenner for burger & chips now too.

  • I've not been on a Saturday night and have always ordered ahead, I think the big boy burgers have always been about a tenner, but the little lunch ones are cheaper, both are bloody good though so I'm sure you'll enjoy it when it arrives.

  • there’s a one pot wonder version of this by annajones (?) that was in the guardian, we call it Fri-daal cos we have it nearly every friday, she pairs it with a radish pickle that’s nice to go with it if you have friends round

  • Fuck yeh. Cathedral city is a game changer. I’d given up on fake cheddar but that shit is FyRE.

Obviously I can’t remember what real cheese tastes like, it’s probably still shit compared to that.

  • It's insanely good! So spendy though!

  • Special offer at Tesco at the mo. Get stock piling.

  • It was OK but for the money Zads kicked arse bitd. I'll try their lunch sometime, my default lunch around there is go-falafel which is hard to match.

  • ZFC is sorely missed, I think I've preferred the burgers I've had from there over zads, but not by much, go falafel is the best though, extra chili, little bit less tahini 👌

  • My sister reckons McD's vegan burger was better than Vegan Shack.

I swerve the chilli sauce at go falafel when I'm working incase it goes to town on my guts.

  • Does the cathedral city melt well?

  • Similar to the other coconut oil ones, but a little less claggy, it's very similar to all the others but a little better in every way.

  • Cathedral City have made a vegan version?!

  • Where's good near the Barbican for something quick and easy? Ideally somewhere with vegan and non vegan options.

  • Stem & Glory by St Bart's if it's still there for vegan stuff

  • That place was v tasty, good recc

  • That does look good! I'm meeting up with some friends who would probably prefer somewhere with non-vegan options (cowards) but I'll be bookmarking that for the future.

  • managed to pick up some of that there Cathedral City this week. finally another contender to go toe to toe with the old applewood smoked!

  • It's so tasty but it smells rank!

  • went down a treat at lunch in wraps with a load of quorn nugs and crunchy miscellaneous slaw
