  • Thanks, interesting to hear you’ve flown with it in. Is it a little baggy for a standard Brompton, or a pretty snug fit?

  • Will report back after this week’s commutes. It’s very much about being seen rather than seeing, light everywhere but no pools of light. Given the routes I use are fully lit but busy that’s exactly what I wanted.

I was going to post the photo below showing how it sits quite vertically on my H stem, but then I folded it and it hits the calliper so it’s now been slid all the way to the top and it’s still a bit closer than I’d like, and isn’t as vertical. The medium would be fine.

  • Wow is that a completely different customised neck and stem.Would love to do sumting like that on my own bike.

  • Have a few bits selling on this thread specific to bromptons

  • yeah it's @M_V 's fine work!

  • Do you need to take it off when folded?

  • No, but there’s less than 2mm clearance! Might wind the stem clip out a turn to help

  • Did my first proper ride with it yesterday. Light goes everywhere - on the cables, on the bag, even on my knees. I think this makes it not glare at drivers - there’s no centre spot to avoid shining at them.

  • Hi,

I am looking to buy a Brompton. Either a good condition used one from a reputable source (provides receipt) or cycle to work scheme, whichever is cheaper.

I am 6 foot 3. Any recommendations on model and accessories? Thanks

  • Told a customer that his 1 week old Brompton has up and down on the rear wheel and very notable side to side on the front, said we can probably fix it under warranty or he can file a warranty himself, he insists that he'll send it back and get a new one sent out right away.

Q call from Brompton, the video we saw shows the wheels are within our tolerances.

Right, your product, your rules, but wheels like that would not be leaving the shop.

    No further exchanges since!

  • Yeah not great… sometimes it’s really slap dash and others spot on…

  • Velosolo just released a new product.. Platform B… so they sent me one and it’s pretty bloody nice. Quality is spot on, a neat way to carry extra bits and bobs, be interesting to see what we can fit on it

  • Is the anything under the board to stop it rotating and scratching the paint? I like the idea and could probably make a router template to make the boards.

Can definitely see it being a useful way to carry another toolbag.

  • This is the under side, when tight it’s really not going anywhere

  • Looks kind of interesting; any advantage over fcb mounted rack?

  • For me, it’s for different things, and not taking a bag.

  • Does it come with the strap to secure stuff?

  • when tight it’s really not going anywhere

    We'll see about that 🤪

With a reasonable load you're probably right. It's a bit more sophisticated than I thought underneath.

In fairness the price is reasonable. It wouldn't be worth my while to just make one.

  • Interesting. Looks like an earlier version of the Eereer Metaal one. What’s it made of, looks a little like wood…?

What’s the diameter of the clamps? Wondering if this might help solve a problem of an Omnium CargoMax with a big triangle and no mounts…

  • 2 other Bromptons came in subsequently on the same day, same dodgy wheels unsurprisingly.

Didn't wanna have the same chat, was thinking of taking some videos but hey, it's Brompton, nothing will come out of it.

Did what the bikes were in for and sent them out.

  • What was wrong with the wheels? Poor fork and rear triangle?
