  • It's that time of year again... Mudguard season.

What mudguards has anyone put on the Pipedream steel fork?

I've got a 2.1 tyre and went to use a Mudhugger but it's too wide and sits on top of the tyre. In fairness the mudhugger is meant for suspension forks.

  • I'm using the velo orange 63mm ones over 2.2'' race kings. They're supposed to fit up to 55mm but... Don't.

Had to do all sorts of things to get them to fit, stays aren't really long enough etc. You might be okay with 2.1s, I think I'd just use the 65mm bluemels next time

Edit: I should say I'm using the mk3 fork with a mk2 frame, I don't know if the shape of other forks is different?

  • That's a smart build you've got.

I'm using the mk1 frame and fork (I think).

Most of my rides seem to go through bogs and rivers so I'm not sure I'd want full length guards.

  • I've just got one of those flimsy plastic MTB guards

  • That's my back up option.
