I have never got thread > fancy metal sockets that you either never see because they’re behind stuff, have stuff plugged in to so unless you also put fancy matching metal plugs on your stuff will always look more like the plug than the socket, and stick out a mile visually against a light wall.
A pretty light switch I’m fully behind (not brushed stainless because brushed stainless is horrible and prickly to touch), but sockets can never be beautiful, they need hiding not attention drawing to them.
