This action shot is great; he is having a tough time, but he’s comfy so no fucks given. I’d like to see more action shots like this across the site.

What's the waist like for someone who fluctuates between 32,33 and 34? large?

lol, knowing the model here, he does somewhat relish in the tough times.

I love how carrying your bike over unridable terrain has become aspirational in the cycling world.

Being a current owner of a orange insulated zoa i cannot see what the differences are ?
Put me down for a hat as well please.
Got the albion bug! -

this is pretty much me so i went with a large and for me they are too big so just ordered a medium and the large will likely go back. I had the little buckle like on the limit of hw small you could make it and it felt like if they got wet and heavy they would fall down.

It’s something that happens to me a lot, and yet I don’t aspire to it

Mine arrived, same issue. Right on the min waist strap and still a tiny bit loose. I Think the size chart could maybe go up a bit.
Other little bit of feedback, the zipper on the calf seems really long, which is giving knee bunching where it's not that flexible. At 6ft I've got relatively long legs.
Think I'll try medium too, but a bit worried they're going to be tight around bum / quads.
Material quality wise they feel good though! Buckles feel a bit cheap and plasticy, but I'm sure they're solid.

Agree on the clasp. Only people I think who have nailed it is Rapha with their mountain bike range simply because its secures from both sides. Despite the tailored fit I was surprised I was able to fit some knee pads under them too, means i can double them as commuting and weekend riding trousers. For me with fit the waist was the biggest problem just too loose, a little short in the leg (im over 6ft) so riding trousers always show a fair bit of sock for me.

...sorry for silence, I was at a trade show end of last week (not Rouleur Live!) but v quick responses - and thank for feedback all.
@user1411692 not directly MTB, but recognise the value of cross-over, more versatile products. I think the advancement in fibre & material tech makes this easier to attain,
@King_Saxlingham thinking was to make them possible to wear over widest range of garments underneath; from regular bibs, though to insulated shorts/trousers, tucked in upper layers, and full-on overshoe/gaiters over winter boots, hence trying to get the widest range of adjustment in the ('fishermans'?) waist and elasticated ankle. Perhaps we need to make this clearer, and consider what a rider will be mainly wearing/doing in them? ie commute (over jeans with a belt) vs riding (skintight bibshorts) is probably a size up.Zip length is to allow an overshoe-clad boot with cleats unimpeded access.
...It's v frustrating for me too at 6'4", having to commit to limited leg-lengths in a seam-sealed garment with zippered ankles!
@user141692 my thinking here is connecting up with a long pair of overshoes, so it looks 'right' and not a gap to the shoe/boot top ....as above, I wish I had a magic wand for this :/

i'm around 33/34 waist and at 6'5" it is a nightmare finding trousers that fit

....as above, I wish I had a magic wand for this :/yeh, totally I think if I had a more winter cycling shoe/boot I would have less of a gap. im just used to it these days though after years of mountain bikes. Tall people problems. Given the gap having the tighter ankle will defo keep me warmer on colder rides.
Used mine for the first time today just over a pair of bibs which is likely the only way I will ever wear them and they were spot on after going down to a medium. No falling down or riding up as I was cycling as always top job Albion, would strongly recommend! My only feedback would be a nice black pair please.

Worst is short waterproof trousers dumping runoff straight into waterproof boots :/ …black version, in-work :)

Are the Zoa hats/caps still coming, or did I miss them?! My dog walk requires them!
-
• #667
Coming! super limited stock I’m afraid, and not for a week at least, but will definitely give as much notice as I can
-
• #668
Are we talking a cap a hat or a beanie with a peak?
-
• #669
If it's Belgian cap style and fits relatively large heads without digging in, I'm in!
-
• #670
Ummmm tech deerstalker? It’s an insulated peaked cap, with ear/back-head cover with shock cord adjustment, that can be flicked up.
Bit of a passion project for me, not sure how many samples I made in card + fabric to refine the fit & shape, but it was a lot.

Sounds ace, my sealskinz one is too chonky to be practical under a helmet, hoping this is a bit more svelte, like a cycling version of the Lowe Alpine mountain cap...
-
• #672
Are we talking desert rat ice cold and wouldit go under a safety climbing helmet like a ecrin?
-
• #673
I would say think of it …like the Zoa jacket hood, same Pertex fabric, same Primaloft insulation, with a peak and lined with a lightweight brushed fleece .
-
• #674
Sounds good.

If it goes well under a helmet, put me down for 1.
It's already chilly on the ears these days and lost my winter hat last year.
looking at todays weather glad I got some of those trousers on order. going to be ideal for the commute to work!
Got to ask the question Chopsicle, any chance of you venturing into the mountain bike game just simple jerseys in nice colours would be ideal? Basically like what Rapha have done, but I can support some good people who are local to me instead.
