I personally doubt it because Sunak is getting caught being misleading/dishonest over this and I would have thought he would want to be squeaky clean at the moment.
It doesn't make sense to me that it was deliberate because Sunak can't afford this kind of scandal at the moment. This feels more like ineptitude to me.

Or he knew that the leakers would leak soon enough he wouldn’t need to have her in position for long.
Bigger question on who has been on the other side of the market sensitive phone hacking/document leaking.
