Doesn't sound like you've had good advice on this issue which is a pain but just to add if you're looking to get a fixed SR this or next season, this is different to the FWC and my understanding is that you'll need the Fixed Wheel SR brevet card (that's how I've done it in the past). That's another £1 coin secreted in an envelope.
