Very cool speakers.

I have no experience with modern CA amps but I would 100% buy one from their refurb store on eBay if I was going to get one.

Have you considered KLH Model 3 or 5s? Sounds like they might fit your aesthetics well?

I didn't find Meta's good enough all rounders to be honest. They really drop off around the low end and I'd say that to get the most out of them you need a subwoofer.
