    For me it's a few things namely;

    • tendency to consider other view points/factors - aka "boths-sides" in modern parlance
    • not holding extreme and unrealistic opinions/considering the practical
    • failure to put all the things in binary opposition
  • Yeah. It's all very subjective. Almost like pejorative terms and simplistic generalisations aren't helpful.

    It's been a while since I was in an office you could talk about things in, but when I was I'd always try and pin people down on their definitions because of this.

    "socialism has never worked" oh right, you mean by your metrics which you then won't apply to capitalism.
