Yeah, I've had issues with fretting out on a couple of frets on one of my guitars, which I'm pretty sure is a high fret rather than an action or truss rod issue. I just don't want to deal with it… will have to at some point

If you can identify which fret is buzzing, check if the fret is seated properly - you might be able to fix it by tapping it gently with a plastic-tipped hammer.

It's when I hold down the top (bass) e string on the 9th fret. All the rest are fine. Shelved it for the time being until I get the top e string that I broke pissing about with the action replaced.
I mean, I could just not play Db on that string...

Try playing C# instead.

Ha! This is obviously where I was going wrong...

Hope this fits the ethos of the thread -
Neither of us are guitarists per-se, but we both make use of a multitude of guitar effects pedals which I thought might appeal here.
I'm supporting Jessica Moss at Cafe Oto on the 28th of November.
Fans of Post rock will have come across Jessica's playing on various Constellation Records releases.
She's in the midst of a European tour promoting her new album and I'm thrilled to be opening for her at the London installment.https://dice.fm/event/x5r7l-jessica-moss-thomas-stone-28th-nov-cafe-oto-london-tickets
I hope to be putting my Mantic Hulk to good use, but this is probably more of an intimate show for full on sub-bass mania

Tenuous link is accepted. Bit of a trek for me, but good luck dude!

Cheers Dooks,
It will be a great night.
Constellation releases were a big influence on my bass playing and informed the bands I played in throughout my 20's and as my musical path went off in an unimaginable direction it's really nice to come full circle for this show.

Selling a road worn telecaster neck on the off chance anyone's planning a build.
Fitted Gotoh road worn tuners but this economy etc put the project on hold so it's been back in the box since.

Ahhh, speaking of Moss I saw there was new Black Ox Orkestar on the horizon!
I had an intense CST phase in my early 20's and SMZ's "This is our punk-rock" is still one of my top5 albums! Good luck with the show, in my yoot I'd have been there but these days I'm lucky to get out to more than 1 gig a month, I've got Heck and Pijn on the 2nd.Are you part of Thomas Stone ('s band)?

Oof that's lovely. I was thinking my text build was going to be an Esquire but that's a bit rich for me at the mo.

EDIT: I'm assuming you are all the parts of Thomas Stone.

Morning Yukirin,
I just saw that about Black Ox as well. Exciting!
Thank you for the best wishes, I am the band in fact! 😎

Ah cheers!
Yes it's all me and basically all live (I run some electronic drum machine sounds as samples). -

Yeh it feels so nice with the worn nitro finish too. A while back I bought a MJT body on ebay too, put the neck on once to check the fit of the neck pocket, looked lovely. But quickly realised I'm better off with some money in the bank right now!

Isn't there a bike you can sell in order to fund this project?

Strongly approve of this.

I already sold the body and parts a couple months ago, I made a rapid retreat from the project entirely. Just the neck left to move on now.

I have too many guitars now. Next I'm going to work on having too many amps. Been looking at kits for my winter evenings project. Will probably start with a Champ, but would love to work up to something like a tweed deluxe. Anyone tried any of the UK kits?

I've not tried the kits but I did do a build with Vyse amps. It was great fun but if I had any advice it'd be: buy the amp you want now; if you build a small/simple one you don't really want at first, a) it's not that simple and b) you end up with an amp you don't really need. A deluxe won't even be that much more expensive than a Champ, it'll just be smaller.

Is Vyse the three day course thing? How did the amp turn out? I do quite fancy having some help on hand. Tthree days away from work, childcare and family chores tho... that's a pipe dream
Maybe you're right on the amp choice. Who doesn't want another Champ tho?

More involved than I want to get, I fancy. It shouldn't need levelling as it was only refretted a few years ago. That said, they guy who did it (who was recommended by someone I trust) left an awful lot of fret sprout for me to tidy up, so who knows whether he bothered levelling it?
