Would anyone be interested in buying my Kona Ute? Would be looking for £900. 20inch frame, I'm just under 6ft for ref and size is fine. Comes with the bags for both sides as well.

From my experience, double check that none of the teeth are missing.
My belt started slipping one day, and when I stopped to check it, nine teeth had come off the belt! 😱
Only time it's ever happened in about 12 years of using them, so it was quite unexpected. -

I would but it’s come round at the wrong time of year for me. No money in pots.

I really need one of the newer lightweight Omnium cargo steerer tubes but can't order one from Omnom themselves thanks to Brexit...anyone have any hookups? I originally ordered one through London Green cycles, it never arrived with them and they never responded to my email chasing it up. Paradise seem to be waiting for stock of parts too so I'm looking for a quicker option?

Rad! Remind me again what kind of lock that is on the back wheel? Do you have any pics of how it mounts?

You've lost teeth? Mad. Belts normally go for a lot longer than that, could have been a stone or something has gotten in there, R+M have that auto/spring tensioner though which normally allows for a bit of give incase something gets jammed in it, also prevents folk from over tightening the belt.
Check the sprocket + chainring for any damage, could be a slightly damaged metal tooth somewhere, often can only really see them with the belt off.

Surely this is the right place to ask, so
People of the cargo bike, what are the pros and cons of each type of bike?
There are LongJohns, LongTails, Butcher (small front wheel) and Compact (20” Katu style) anything else I’ve missed?
I’m quite drawn to either a LongJohn or Freight 8 style Longtail.
Oh trikes are a nonstarter for many and various reasons.
Cheers ta. -

I had an 8freight, I admired the design but it was not anything like as good to ride as all the long john designs I've had since. very squirrely. it's also bad having the load behind you, as you can't see it.

I have a longjohn, a katu and just picked up a longtail kid hauler this week. I bought the katu as the longjohn was just too much bike and the kid didn't like it. I got the longtail as the katu just felt like a little too little sometimes. But it is fun as hell. Trying to get my wife to take it over to keep it in the rotation. Longtail im not sure on yet as only have about 5km in it.

Cheers, I hear you about having the load, length behind you. Do you think the squirreliness (sic) was because of Mikes love of upright head tubes?
A long/flat tail would be much easier for me to build to try out an idea.
There is a snubber. I've just adjusted to be in contact with the belt, hopefully that keeps it from happening again?
