people who (think they) know my job better than I do
(but have almost no understanding of it) -

Yes. Parentmail can get in the sea. All the software software schools use for everything can get in the sea. Who chooses this rubbish and how are people still allowed to make it?

Presumably a firm that donated to Michael Gove, when he was Education Secretary, and funded Toby Young when he was the indolent CEO of the Free Schools organisation.

Speaking of emails, I hate how everybody seems unable to use the search function that literally any email provider has.
"You know that important email you sent to me a couple of weeks ago? Can you send it again please?"
...unbelievable. This happens constantly

See also emails as storage. "My Outlook is running really slow.."

Does my head in, people seem to have no ability to use search in email and don't understand why and they seem to marvel when you can reproduce something from last week that they had forgotten they had been sent
Tbf I am a empty inbox advocate so have to be judicious with finding old emails
I hate looking over a colleagues shoulder and seeing 1000+ unread emails, makes me feel really uncomfortable

So glad my job doesn't require computer time!

I do this. Don't see the point of spending time filing emails and deciding which to keep when I can just keep them where they are and search.
Only problem is work deletes at 6 months so I have a reminder to move the last month to the archive each month end.

Old job was email crazy. 200+ a day (although a fair amount were automated).
Just checked and I've sent 17 emails in my current job and I'm coming up a year. Most of those were sending a zip file to an interview candidate at the start of a technical interview too. I've probably received <100 non-automated emails in that year.
Slack has its own vacuum of suckiness though.

Haven’t lost any recently, but getting the lenses replaced in expensive glasses is a pet peeve. Especially when it costs you more to replace the lenses than it did to buy the frames in the first place! Looking at you thin frames and even thinner lenses..

it's an expensive ailment.
But we all know glasses wearers are better and way more sexy than non spectical wearers -
