Is that corian spicy sink?
Tap looks good - There’s a few other options from Quooker these days. They’re not as nice looking as non-boiling but does seem more practical

It's habitat, I think it might have been one of the last.

It's Durasein rather than Corian, but same bag. I think the patent on Corian has run out so there are loads of new people making very similar products. It looks great, but annoying to keep that way.

Dear god that's good.
Good knowledge too. -

So wardrobes. Need to make a decision today. The neater option uses 500mm doors - which is quite tight. The other option looks slightly worse with the borders but has 600mm doors. Will we regret going for aesthetics over slightly more practical decision?

Always personal but I think the borders and 600mm doors look better.
I'm sure once installed, painted and the room dressed you'll hardly notice either way

Oh I think the border and 600mm doors look worse 😬

625mm doors with no border?
-
• #4712
I’d go 500mm where does the door go to / from?

100% 600mm. Symmetry and practicality fwiw.

Anything with non-OTP cabinet sizes makes it get ££

Downstairs shower room - which the idea behind is for the grand parents to use. So thinking a wider door is probably more practical.

In that case, 600mm.
Could do borders on the wall edges only. Height is already custom so shouldn’t matter.

500mm looks a bit busy I'd say.

So are these cabinets with custom doors with a cabinet "missing" but still with a door which is kinda secret which leads through to a bathroom? Planing something similar.

• #4719
pretty much yep

i think that in the case of a concealed entrance, 500 mm width will spark joy.
no skirting/borders means an understandable desire for a shadow gap, which you should satisfy now. -

Amazing, thanks babes, working mine up now.

No border definitely looks better, although you will want the floor, walls and ceiling to all be level/plumb, and a shadowgap surround to act as your scribe panel.
Are the wardrobes stock items with custom doors or all bespoke made? If the latter then clearly 625mm doors (or whatever the width/5) is the correct answer, and this really shouldn't be more spenny. If using stock items then there would be an uplift.
Maybe a modelling error, but having all the wood grain running in the same direction will look more considered (top units currently showing horizontal grain). Absolute baller move is to cut the sheets so the grain is continuous through these, and if bespoke made this should be relatively straight forward and with no additional uplift.
I assume the ceiling height is greater than 2440mm?

Will you (or future owners) be able to pass sanitaryware through the 500mm gap?
Guessing there's no bath beyond?

Which the idea behind is for the grand parents to use. So thinking a wider door is probably more practical.
May not be relevant just yet, but a wheelchair needs 900 mm...

Which hob is that? For some reason the previous owners put a new kitchen in without an extractor fan. So looking to install a hob with extractor.
Lights nice. Where from?
