Hayfever is an allergy to pollen from certain species of plant. Different people react to different species. (In my case it's grass and plane trees.) Your reaction in Hampshire might be some other plant which you don't normally encounter. Maybe something on a farm, or at a garden centre?
Been visiting the area for years and staying in the same hotel several times this year due to family illness, but got out of a car yesterday and was in bits. Finally clocked it might be an allergy this AM and tablets killed it almost immediately. I'm going with mould.
