FS. TVM no12. Cinelli lugged, track/fixed road. 54cm

  • It’s time to admit that despite being custom made by me, for me, this is the wrong size.

The seat, head and fork crown lugs are Cinelli, the dropouts are Surly, all bought NOS for this project. Tubing is Columbus, mostly Thron as it was the best that was available in these old school diameters (25.4mm tt, 28.6mm dt). The seattube and stays are Zona I think.

    Monostay/wishbone seatstays.

The seattube extends through the seat lug and the slot is within the tube rather than at the top. Could easily be trimmed back to the lug of this isn’t too your taste.

Brass headtube and P.H.T.L. (Pedal Hard Turn Left) badges.

Fork is drilled for a brake and tyre clearance is fine with 28s.

Takes a 27.2 seatpost, 1” quill stem, bb shell is 68mm bsa thread and headtube is 135mm long.

    HTA 75
    STA 74

    Seat tube length c2c 54cm
    Top tube length c2c 57cm

  • Wow that is a big want, nice job

  • Looks incredible. Such a shame it's no good for you. 😭 I'd love to take it!

  • Than you @ojwithbits and @a_bol.

    Frameset now sold.

One of the velodrome regulars and track league organisers saw me with it and took a shine to it.

  • May I ask who did the paint @M_V ?

  • I did.

The black is a Montana product. They say it’s meant to look like marble but I dunno about that lol.

  • Nice, thanks - reminded me of one of my all time favourite paint jobs that Rossin used on a few frames that I had wondered about attempting to repeat. Of course, if anyone reading this has one of those Rossin marble frames and doesn’t need it, they could let me know ;-)

  • Did you have a photo of it all built up? Love the paint on it.

  • So nice this. Somone got a good buy.

  • A thin soft paper was wrapped round the tubes after base coat was applied first, than sprayed over. At least that's what the old gent who owed my bike told me.
    Wilier, not Rossin though...

  • Stunning, great job 💪💪💪

  • That’s a beauty!

  • gorgeous :')

  • Might just fit me ...... How tall are you and what was the issue with sizing? Going to measure up the shark when I get home from work this evening. 🤞

  • Just read this, well done

  • I’m 6’2, I think I need a shade more length, but more than that I think it’s the saddle to bar drop.

So maybe it’s down to flexibility, it’s certainly very different to the other bikes I ride more often and as a summer lanes/track bike I’m not going to get tons of time on this to get accustomed to it.

I have some photos of it built up, I’ll look one out so you n get an idea of the drop.

It’s actually available again too, I went to collect the money for it last night and the butter has had some household expenses and I’d pulling out of the sale.

  • Before I painted it.

  • Thanks for that but I fear it's waaaay too long for me, I'm 175cm and ride a 54 shark.....I had it in my head it was a 570 TT but turns out It's 542 so I'd need to run this with an 80mm stem, shame as it's lovely GLWS

  • Has this sold??

  • No problem.

  • Still available.
