  • Sooo, I've been out of the country for a few days, fucking hell.

  • Zelensky tweeting pro-Boris memes is grim

  • Reminds me of how popular Blair is in Bosnia. Portraits of him on the wall in restaurants andi living rooms etc.

  • Actually not Zelensky, it's the official Ukraine account
    https://twitter.com/Ukraine/status/1583209400671809537?t=rrF_indZIvd7URHMXo7v0Q&s=19

  • I imagine in case of a GE that labour would continue with the aid packages to Ukraine?

  • Tweet deleted for me.

TBH all the Johnson chat is just hot air. He's not coming back now. Not ruling out a come back down the line, but not now.

  • Basically that Ukraine account tweeted a meme with Johnson in it. Wasn't really clear if it was an endorsement or laughing at the situation in the UK and the Daily Mail have written an article saying that Zelensky has endorsed Johnson's return.

  • Good morning....
NEW: Westminster Voting Intention poll (20 Oct):

    🔴 LAB: 53% (= from 12 Oct)
    🔵 CON: 14% (-5)
    🟠 LDM: 11% (+3)
    🟢 GRN: 6% (=)
    🟡 SNP: 5% (-1)

  • I’m sure I wasnt alone in watching what went on in ‘Murka at the end of Trump’s presidency and thinking they looked like a nation of clowns.

That’s how everyone is looking at us now isn’t it?

  • Yes but thankfully I can’t see the brexit fanatics storming the Houses of Parliament

  • I do wonder if a Boris return would cause enough Tory MPs to quit the party and vote for a GE

  • If Twitter is to be believed, they're gradually coming around to the idea as their least bad option (for them).

I'm with you though...I see implosion if he does get in.

  • I'm sure there'll be some but doubt it would be enough. Turkeys and Christmas etc.

  • Been that way since 2016.

  • The word cloud from the poll earlier is good. They must have almost run out of asterisks.

  • love the fact the word "brewery" made it in

  • and cunts

  • They should make it into one of those fridge magnet sets and have it in the tory tea-room

  • Truss ally on her decision to quit: “ She’s relieved if anything. She won’t stand down as an MP but she needs a holiday.”
    Mind-boggling levels of disconnect

  • The lazy, lying cunt is going to be back isn't he? My bet is Mordaunt will come up short/pull out leaving Sunak v Johnson. Only one winner with the old racists.

Maybe that'll make for a quicker GE in the end - who knows these days.

  • May
    Johnson
    Truss
    Sunak?
    I fear he might, sir.

  • I think that could be better. Open to edits.

  • a nation of clowns. ... That’s how everyone is looking at us now isn’t it?

Italy, the first example that came to mind, is infamous for short lived governments. I don't generally think of your average Italian as a clown. But it does perhaps give other countries an iffy sense that power doesn't really sit in the elected bodies, that the country instead is run elsewhere by elites, networks and interest groups without a democratic mandate.
