Well yes, but what we think is irrelevant. What I'm interested in is what the centre-ish vaguely competent Tory backbenchers think. Now that Brexit is demonstrably a failure, maybe the not-lunatic wing of the parliamentary party will have more muscle.
That would largely be the One Nation lot? Didn't Johnson cull half of them shortly before the 2019 election. I think there's probably only 30 of them left? They're completely outnumbered by the headbangers now.
