They should. They totally should. But why would they? They'd be destroyed right now.
Fair chance if someone half-competent becomes leader (thinking Sunak or Mordaunt), they'll recover in the polls enough by 2024 to stave off outright disaster for themselves. Of course, there's every chance a total wingnut gets in and it gets worse, but they absolutely don't have to and no one would in their right mind.
