we all just become fatigued by it all
I've been thinking about this, and if this moment in time is particularly worse than other pressured points in history, or whether it is heightened with continued rolling news and social medias (including here!).
The news and lurching disasters is all-encompassing and is draining!

I can't believe she has got Brady in to 'take the temperature of the party' - surely that is blindingly obvious to even her.
I think the one person everyone wants to see now is hot lectern guy.

Seems likely she wants to know the mood and if it's universally poor she might choose to jump?
If the current political setup is supposed to be for the whole (group of) countries then I don't see why an overarching federal body couldn't be setup for say, foreign policy, healthcare, overarching taxation and infrastructure? I'd happily accept a 1/4 split for each nation. Then separate parliament's for national issues.
Anyway it's only my preferred choice and never likely to happen.

As an observer it feels similar to me. I can’t tell if this chaotic confusion is a strategy or something that just by chance grinds the system into a sense of paralysed inertia.

Deputy PM also arrives at no10 - to take over after PM quits?
-
• #960
Just seismic split in factions within the party, at least four or so. They are not cohesive enough to employ any strategy. They cannot even agree on how to get rid, or who to jettison in. Shambles.

How the fuck is she Deputy PM?!

How does the federal system in Germany maintain a semblance of democracy?
Post war distribution of industrial activity helps I think.

Maybe someone thinks that having a doctorate in Chemistry means they will be a great leader.
Sadly that's about all Coffey has in common with Merkel.

Ah, we are at the 'live shots of number 10 door' stage. Can't be long.

Yep - party chairman in there as well now.

No 10 says Liz Truss will continue beyond 31 October
Downing Street has denied that there is any change to Liz Truss’s plan to stay in No 10 beyond the fiscal plan on 31 October.A spokesperson for the prime minister told reporters:
“No plans for any change. The prime minister will continue beyond the 31st.”
Does this mean she is planning on resigning in 12 days time? Can she even last that long?

Be handy to have someone who’s good with ‘chemicals’ in there at the moment
A Federation of Regions of England would be fairer,
but London always ends up the most economically important region,
and some regions will just never have the population to grow GDP close to London,
or a south east region.
How does the federal system in Germany maintain a semblance of democracy?
